According to the long weekend, Michael and I decided to go to Hualien for two days. Ate a lot of local food and enjoy the beautiful country scene. People who live in Hualien are so lucky because they have the best mountain view and freshest air in Taiwan.
We arrived there by train in the morning and got our rental car. It's very convenient to have a car so we could go everywhere we wanted to. We travelled to the south and found a nice and cheap hot spring spot. The hot spring is facing the hilly mountain and the weather was just fine. 
However we had very little time (only two days in Hualien) so reluctantly we concluded our relaxing weekend.
